The first panel chosen for a local Hospice in Dalton Huddersfield. Designed and built for the millenium. Presented in 1999.
Hearing about the Kirkwood Panel, the staff at the Wakefield Hospice enquired if they too could have a Panel. Presented December 2000.
This Panel was presented to Besancon to celebrate 50 years of Twinning with Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
To commemorate 25 years of care in Calderdale. The original panel fitted the contours of an angular wall. Later to be altered for a different location on a straight wall.
In 2020 the panel was altered. Several of the carvings had to be re-aligned to fit the corner section back in place.
In 2025 the panel was altered again removing the conspicuous corner carving ready for it's transfer into the new building.
Early in 2009 a decision was put forward to produce a panel to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the D Day Landings in WWII. This idea was taken several stages further and two panels were produced to remember the fallen in both of the two World Wars.
Both panels are divided into five areas representing different aspects of conflict. Air, Europe, Global, Sea and Home Front. The money raised from the Armouries Panels was donated to the Forget Me Not Hospice Huddersfield to help with the fabric to build the Hospice. ( £13,000 October 2017.)
After receiving the donation from the Armouries panel, the management from the Forget Me Not Hospice asked if it was possible for a panel to be installed inside the Hospice, that would reflect the ethos of the Hospice. To Nurture Care from Birth to Adulthood.
Nursery Rhymes, Stories, Games, Pets , Holidays and School Learning are some of the themes depicting stages of development. Eight of the carvings depicted by the red dots were animated and activated from the row of buttons at the base, which also activated a sound card playing an audio track relating to the carving.
Many aspects of Pontefract are depicted on this panel.
From the Town Hall, Market Hall, 17th Century Castle, now in ruins and the famous liquorice delicacy Pontefract Cakes.
