Prince of Wales Hospice.
Halfpenny Lane. Pontefract. WF8 4BG
The Prince of Wales Hospice Panel.
The panel supports 42 carvings and depicts an entertaining representation of the town and district of Pontefract.
The subjects for the panel were carefully chosen by both the Hospice and members of the WRWA to depict the work of the Hospice and its links to the rich history of the surrounding area.
Like all the other panels, a vast amount of research into suitable subjects has to be undertaken. Once an agreement is made then the scale and layout is finalised and presented to the WRWA members.
Like several other panels carved by the WRWA this panel was transported to different location with the intentions of raising money for the Hospice.
Below is an image of the panel on show at the North of England Woodworking Show. Harrogate.
