The Royal Armouries Panels.
The two panels representing the First & Second World Wars were presented to the Royal Armouries Leeds.
The unveiling took place at the Annual Reflect and Remember Service of Remembrance 11th November 2010.
Prince Michael of Kent, accompanied by Dr Ingrid Roscoe Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire were the honoured guest there to unveil the Panels.
From the outset the aims of the WRWA was to raise funds for construction of the Forget-me-Not children's Hospice serving the people of Kirklees and Calderdale, through the selling of commemorative booklets that had illustrations of each carving, the carver involved and a brief description of what the carving represented.
Each panel has been divided into five different areas representing Air. Europe. Global. Sea. Home Front.

In this panel Air is situated top left, Home Front top right, Sea is the central area, Europe is bottom Left and Global bottom right.

Viewing
Before the official hand over of the Panels, they were displayed to the public at various venues with the intentions of selling the commemorative booklets. Here they are on display in the amazing Halifax Town Hall.
